If you are part of a group and you are booking tickets separately we will need to be informed of how many your group is and who is a part of said group to be able to reserve you a table together.  We regularly sell out shows, please email us at info@spotlightcabaret.ca to make sure you get seated together. Or better yet, get one person to book the group, and then pay that lovely person back 🙂

The Filipino Independence Day Comedy Show

Come celebrate the Independence of the Philippines with laughs from Canada’s Top Filipino comedians inside the beautiful Spotlight Cabaret.

Starring Keith Pedro

Comedian Keith Pedro has been one of North America’s rising stars. Recently featured on Kevin Hart’s new Laugh Out Loud network, Keith has been touring all across the globe spreading his hilarious wit to many different audiences. From Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival all the way to CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival. You’ve heard him on Sirius XM and his debut Comedy Album “Grindecology” was debuted #1 comedy album in it’s opening week. Keith is known for his off the top improvisational and crowd work skills and is currently a headliner with Yuk Yuks. Keith has done lots of work on the small screen as well, from being a part of the E-Talk featured Sketch Crew “THE BOOM” all the way to acting on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Big Norm

Norm Alconcel, popularly known as “Big Norm” is a modern day renaissance man. Multi-faceted, Norm is by turns a stand-up comedian, singer, songwriter, TV host and chef. Norm’s soulful style of comedy is an amalgamation of life experiences and cultural perspectives gained through his time growing up in Toronto community housing, in a broken, immigrant, Seventh-day Adventist home. His style showcases influences from Jamie Foxx, Russel Peters, Tracy Morgan and Cedric The Entertainer. Big Norm incorporates a hip-hop-Motown inspired cadence and delivery to his stand up and frequently touches base on race, multiculturalism, music, and personal experience to entertain his audience. He has worked and performed all over the world and on many different platforms including MTV, MuchMusic, the Manifesto Festival, Asian-American Film Festival, the Laugh Till Ya Belly Burst Festival in St. Maarten, Toronto International Film Festival and Field Trip Festival to name a few.

He has shared the stage with Russel Peters, Micheal Blackson, Lunelle and has hosted and opened up for countless musicians and performers including the Ghost Face Killa, School Boy Q, Machel Montano, Chronnix, and Jhene Aiko.

Celeste Lampa

Edmonton based comedian, Celeste Lampa, knows how to make people laugh and/or cry simultaneously. She performs stand up throughout Canada and the US. Her comedy stems from being a first generation Filipino-Canadian, a mom, a wife, and an all around silly person.
