6 Minute Warning is a Canadian vocal group based out of Edmonton,
Alberta. The group consists of six members with extensive backgrounds
in rock, pop, jazz, classical, and choral music. 6 Minute Warning
is renowned for its exceptional singing – tight harmonies, seamless
phrasing, thrilling lead-solos, and intricate beat-boxing. Their
love for singing and their ability to create a soundscape with their
voices continues to inspire audiences both young and old.
The group’s repertoire ranges from the upbeat stylings of rock and pop
music to the complex nuances of jazz, drawing influence from Boyz II Men,
Take 6, Michael Jackson and many others.
6 Minute Warning has had the pleasure of performing with many talented artists
and organizations, including Ben Folds, Glass Tiger, Mark Masri, Ruben Studdard,
the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and Pro Coro Canada. They have also performed
as guest artists at various festivals including the Canadian Cantando Festivals,
and ChoralFest North alongside the talented contemporary vocal ensemble Sixth Wave.
In 2008 they competed in David Foster’s Star Search, placing as finalists and
performing at his prestigious charity auction.
How it Works: Your show ticket includes a soup AND salad, one entree from our Dinner & Show Menu, one delicious dessert and the show! You and your group will arrive at 6:00pm-6:15pm and be seated at your table in your comfortable velour seats. Please do not arrive late, late being after 6:15pm. You can order cocktails and wine off of our menu and will enjoy your soup and salad before the show begins. The first act of the show starts after everyone is seated and served their soup and salad. After Act One dinner is served along with more drinks and a bathroom break. Dessert is brought out swiftly after dinner. Act Two begins and finishes off the show which ends at approximately 9pm.
Parking: There is a paid parking lot located behind the Southside Memorial Chapel on 83rd Ave with very reasonable prices or at The Old Strathcona Parking Lot on Gateway Blvd. Our space is wheelchair accessible via the elevator at the main entrance of our building which is located beside The Ripe Tomato on Whyte Avenue. You must call us for wheelchair entry upon arrival as those doors are locked. We will come down and let you in.
Dress Code: While we have no enforced dress code, we are a 1920’s themed bar and we recommend you dress to have a roaring good time. Sparkles, glitter, glamour, and dandy attire will suit the decor of the space.
