Talk about taking a trip down memory lane. Back in March of 2009, Erin and Martin co-produced a production of The Last Five Years which ran for a limited run at The Third Space in Edmonton. The production was Directed by Kristen Finlay and Musical Direction by Brad Heintzman. Here were are, 13 years later and that many years older, re-visiting The Last Five Years. The story explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. The show uses a form of storytelling in which Jamie’s story is told in chronological order (starting just after the couple have first met) and Cathy’s story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning the show at the end of the marriage). The characters do not directly interact except for a wedding song in the middle as their timelines intersect.Starring: Erin Foster O’Riordan as Cathy and Martin Galba as Jamie.Musical Direction by Joy van de Ligt, with Valerie Sim on Violin, Stefan Rumak on Guitar, Laren Steppler on Bass, Timothy Wong on Cello, Nicholas Wong on Cello and Joy van de Ligt on Piano. How it Works: Your show ticket includes a soup AND salad, one entree from our Dinner & Show Menu, one delicious dessert and the show! You and your group will arrive at 6:00pm-6:15pm and be seated at your table in your comfortable velour seats. Please do not arrive late, late being after 6:15pm. You can order cocktails and wine off of our menu and will enjoy your soup and salad before the show begins. The first act of the show starts after everyone is seated and served their soup and salad.
